I didn’t leave my career because I was unhappy.
In fact, everything was going exactly to plan.
For nearly twenty years, I worked at the heart of the European Commission. I passed the competitive exams early, managed complex financial tools, and shaped policy. I was trained to lead under pressure and make decisions when the stakes were high.
I had the leadership training. I did the mindfulness courses. I checked every professional box.
But then, I found the one tool that changed everything.
It didn't come from a textbook or a boardroom. It happened through something we do 20,000 times a day, but rarely with intention: the breath.
Within minutes, the mental noise simply stopped.
I didn't just feel "relaxed". felt steady. My mind felt sharp. My energy was back. I realised that I hadn't found a way to "escape" work. I had found a way to be better at it.
For too long, we have treated "well-being" at work like a luxury - like a bowl of fruit in the office or a free app subscription.
I see it differently. I see breathwork as essential infrastructure.
If you are leading a team or driving a business, your nervous system is your most important tool. If that tool is broken, your leadership suffers.
I chose to step away from the Commission, not because I wanted to leave public service behind, but because I found a new way to support it. I realised I could take everything I learned about high-level leadership and offer a tool that works more reliably than anything I had encountered in two decades.
Today, through The Breathwork Club, we bring these practical tools into the corporate world. We help people build resilience and clarity in minutes, not months.
Our mission is to get 1.000.000 people breathing consciously in the places where pressure is high and impact is real.
Because when the pressure is on, your breath is your greatest strength.
